“Don’t disrespect healing ministers” – Sonnie Badu

Award-winning gospel singer, founder and Head Pastor of the RockHill Church, Dr. Sonnie Badu sent a word of caution to other ministers of the gospel and the general public who sort to undermine or mock the healing ministry as far this Coronavirus pandemic is concerned.

Sonnie Badu in a live Facebook video today, clarified how the healing ministry operates and why the need for a collaborative effort between the vessel of healing and the sick through faith. He compared this with the days of Jesus, where he couldn’t perform many miracles in his hometown because of lack of faith.

He explained that before healing can take place there is the need for a level ground of faith in both people (the healing minister and the sick). The sick person according to Sonnie, must also have faith enough to be healed and not entertain fear. He says, most people in this season entertain more fear and live by logic instead of faith which is needed for healing.

Many people including some celebrities are downplaying the effectiveness of the healing ministry in the body of Christ, describing it as dysfunctional in this season of COVID-19.

Last week, gospel singer Celestine Donkor also addressed same issue after secular singer Mzbel publically questioned the importance of the Church and healing ministers/ministry.

Dr. Sonnie Badu encouraged preachers around the globe to focus on building faith of church members in these trying times more than any other message. He also mentioned that preaching about judgment will only aggravate the situation by causing more fear and that there is a way to go about preaching judgment in this crucial time.
