“We Need More Prayers in America, Not Less!” Donald Trump Orders For Reopening of Churches in America

In the wake of this novel COVID-19 pandemic, most churches around the world have been forced to close in order to adhere to the social distancing precaution. In a recent development, US President Donald Trump has ordered churches in America to open.

In his view, America needs more prayers and not less in order to combat this one of a kind difficult situation that has caught the world by surprise.

In his Press Briefing last Friday, the President ordered the Governors of the various States to allow the places of worship and synagogues to hold in-person worship services with immediate effect.

In his own words, he says;

“The governors need to do the right thing and allow these very important essential places of faith to open right now, for this weekend. If they don’t do it, I will override the governors. Some governors have deemed liquor stores and abortion clinics as essential” but not churches, he said. “It’s not right. So I’m correcting this injustice and calling houses of worship essential. hese are places that hold our society together and keep our people united,”

Though we are not too sure the mechanism that will be rolled out to ensure the safe gathering of saints, he suggested from his speech there is an appropriate guideline that will be laid down and be followed accordingly.
