The Urban Gospel group Preachers out with new album ‘Level Up’
Undoubtedly one of the best gospel groups in Ghana and a force to reckon with when it comes to Urban Gospel music, the energetic gospel trio, Preachers have outdoor their latest project (album) ‘Level Up’, in a grand style at the New Testament Church East Legon, yesterday the 26th of December.
After successfully releasing two solid and impactful albums ( Mark 16:15 and The Fearless Project), the Urban Gospel group believe that through this third studio album, God is going to shift His people to greater heights and equipping them for greater accomplishments.
The 17 tracks album expresses Preachers’ experiences and reveals their deepest thoughts and feelings. It features acts such as Kambua and Saint P from Kenya. Other acts include Sheila Whitcomb, Minister Kofi Otchere, David Tamsey etc. The soft side and hard side of the trio are beautifully expressed in a variety of genres including Hip Hop, Dancehall/Reggae and Contemporary Gospel music.
Their last two album had really gain local and international recognition and out this, they won many awards such as Afro Rap Artist of the year’ at the Africa Gospel Music Awards (AGMA) 2013 in London. Others are the Best International Music Video at the Gospel Music Awards (GMA) Italy 2014, Most Wanted Rap Song of the Year at the 2013 Christian Community Music Awards (CCMA) and many other awards and nominations.
