2023 has proven to be an exciting year for gospel music as artists explore new styles, rhythms, and creative ways of delivering projects. Even though we have come a long way, there is still a long way to go as fans yearn for more and more quality content and delivery.

Aseda by Nacee
Obviously the trending hit song in Ghana, Nacee’s Aseda song of thanksgiving resonates with the story of a lot of people. The gospel hit has become one of the biggest songs in Ghana this year. Since its release a few months ago, it has topped many charts and become an anthem in churches and gospel events across the country.
“Aseda” is performed primarily in the Twi language and blends contemporary highlife instrumentals with powerful lyrics of thanksgiving to God for his Grace which is able to pick one up from nothing to a place of prominence. The title translated to “Thanks” primarily conveys a message of thanksgiving laced with hope and encouragement to listeners.

The powerful worship song “Kadosh” has been given new life in an epic live collaboration between renowned Ghanaian gospel artist Joe Mettle and Nigerian gospel singer Nathaniel Bassey. The new rendition was recorded live during Joe Mettle’s annual Praiz Reloaded event at Perez Dome in 2022
“Kadosh” is originally a track released by Joe Mettle in 2022 praising the holiness of God. The song gained popularity across Africa for its fervent lyrics and energetic delivery. In the live version with Nathaniel Bassey, the song takes on a more high-energy vibe through the introduction of Nathaniel Bassey’s famous trumpet sound.
Be Lifted (Remixed Rendition) – MOG ft Donnie McClurkin
Notable Ghanaian gospel singer MOG has released a special collaborative rendition of the popular Be Lifted worship song with American gospel legend Donnie McClurkin on the song. This updated version of MOG’s original track features Donnie McClurkin lending his distinctive vocals.
“Be Lifted” is a gospel anthem praising God’s greatness and power. The song encourages listeners to lift up the name of Jesus in worship.
