The New Single “YESU” By Yaw Adu-Ampomah Is Out Now
Gospel artiste, Yaw Adu-Ampomah released his new single “YESU”, on Friday 27th October 2023.
According to the singer and songwriter, “Yesu” was inspired by the communication between Peter and Jesus Christ in Matthew 16:15-16. By revelation, Peter’s response to Jesus after he was asked “Who do You say, I am?” was that Jesus is “…the Son of the Living God”
Through this song, the songwriter provides another perspective of Who Jesus is to him.
This is Yaw’s fifth single after his debut with “My Testimony” which was released in March 2019.
He has other songs such as “Wahendzi”, “Nnase Nwom” and “The debt medley” (an Easter cover) to his record.
Music has always been a part of the KNUST Electrical Engineering Graduate’s upbringing; growing up in a family of talented singers. Yaw Adu-Ampomah is however the first of his folks to share his music beyond the corridors of Church and School – two institutions that have helped hone his interest and skills in songwriting and singing.
He is currently a member of Christ’s Bloodline Crew (CBC) Inc., a Gospel music group in Kumasi, as well as the Music Head for his local church.
The musician counts Pastor Sammie Obeng-Poku and Nathaniel Bassey among his influences and believes his music and ministry would in turn impact positively on his generation and beyond.
