Grammy-winning gospel icon Tasha Cobbs Leonard will soon add a published author to her list of accomplishments with the release of her first-ever book. Titled “Do It Anyway,” the inspirational memoir comes out on May 7th, 2024 and is currently available for pre-order.
In announcing the exciting literary news, Cobbs Leonard opened up about the personal, life-shaping story behind the book in a heartfelt Instagram video. She recounted the devastating loss of her father just days before her first Grammy performance 18 years ago. Despite intense grief, Cobbs Leonard took to heart his final words to her: “Do it anyway.”
Through that painful yet formative experience, the gospel star learned to push forward through hardship and uncertainty. According to Cobbs Leonard, “Do It Anyway” will be filled with similar stories and lessons from her incredible life journey.

As she explained, “There are so many stories of my life that I can reflect on that my father, mother or experiences taught me. You may have heard it through my tone and music, but now I want you to hear the stories behind it.”
