“Stop asking married couples when they will give birth” – Diana Hamilton

According to an interview granted to NY DJ on BTM Afrika, the Multiple award-winning Ghanaian gospel singer Diana Hamilton advised the general public to desist from asking married couples when they will give birth.

According to Diana who has also gone through her own experience regarding this, this could break them both emotionally, especially if they have tried all they could and do not see the result yet.

The Mo Ne Yo hitmaker shared her personal experiences in a very sensitive interview with NY DJ on BTM Afrika, revealing such questions were draining to most couples and could break them down emotionally as it did her at a point.

Blessed with twins after 5 years of marriage, Diana revealed she cried at the end of every month but had so much hope and believed God would answer her prayers.

“At the end of every month, I cried, so you can imagine for five years because I gave birth almost 6 years into marriage but I was very quick enough to wipe it off and tried every month. However, I am a woman of God and not a God of a woman so the human side of me will come in and so I will be sad” she said.

“Don’t give people unnecessary pressure! It’s either they are trying and it’s not happening or they have no plans of having kids but not yet or they are battling with the emotional stress of experiencing a miscarriage. Don’t freshen up a wound that is closing up and so let’s stop it”, she warned.

In another development, the singer who preps for the 2020 edition of her annual ‘Experience with Diana Hamilton’ in both Accra and Kumasi has been nominated for 3 different award schemes within this same period. The awards schemes include 3 Music Awards where she grabbed 9 nominations, National Gospel Musici Awards (NGMAGH) with 5 nominations and Urban Gospel Awards (UK)

We wish her all the best!
