It’s officially a wrap on the 10th edition of BET’s Sunday Best and Stephanie Summers was crowned last night as the winner of this edition after series of highs, lows, and virtual performances. She has, therefore, won the RCA recording deal plus a cash price of $50,000.
Stephanie, a native of the Colorado Springs, USA, received the most votes, beating colleague competitor Jada Spight in the season grand finale, as usual, hosted by Kirk Franklin.
Before the audience learned who won, the legendary Clark Sisters opened the show with a performance of their single “Victory.”Season 9 winner Melvin Crispell III returned to perform a jazzy version of Marvin Gaye’s “What’s Going On.” Kierra Sheard also stopped by to perform her single “It Keeps Happening.”
Meanwhile, finalists Stephanie and Jada sang a virtual duet of “My Worship” by Phil Thompson.
With this win, Stephanie will now be associated with some of the top gospel singers such as Melvin Crispell III (Season 9), Geoffrey Golden (season 7), Le’Andria Johnson (season 3), Tasha Page-Lockhart (season 6) who have won from previous seasons.
After an impressive night, Stephanie shared this on Social Media;

The 10th edition of the gospel music competition reality show started with 20 very talented gospel singers from some selected parts of the world, and among these contestants is the UK based Ghanaian incredible singer ‘Niiella‘. Niella made it through to the first 10 selections but unfortunately could not progress to the next stage of the competition.

This year’s season welcomed back GRAMMY-winning music legend Kirk Franklin as host; while GRAMMY-winning songstress & host of “Get Up Mornings,” Erica Campbell, GRAMMY-nominated artist & star of BET’s “American Soul” Kelly Price and GRAMMY-nominated & multiple Stellar Award-winning artist Jonathan McReynolds returned as Judges.
