Award-winning international gospel singer Sonnie Badu is out with a new single, “My Confidence”, a song to be considered as a music comeback for the award-winning musician and preacher
Recorded live at the Rockhill Church in the United States, “My Confidence” is a heartfelt worship song that captures the essence of Dr. Badu’s unique sound and style, highlighting the testament to his passion for music that moves the soul and speaks to the heart.
In announcing the new release, Dr. Badu shared across his social media handles, to announce his comeback to music and shared the story behind the latest single.
“I am back from retirement as promised!!! This song is very personal. I went through a period of trauma and depression 2019 -2020. It was a very very tough season in my life. This was how I cried unto the Lord and he heard my voice. #MyCovenant” He wrote.
Dr. Badu’s new song comes on the heels of several other successful releases, including his hit single “Pillar of Fire” and his acclaimed album “Rhythms of Afrika”. With a career spanning over a decade, Sonnie Badu has established himself as one of the most admired gospel artists of his generation.
