Award winning Ghanaian gospel artiste who is known to be the gospel reggae sensation of our time has urged Ghanaian Churches to do more than supporting artistes with words of encouragement and prayers but to go a step further in setting up record labels to help propel the industry.
According the Akesse, Gospel music is one of the greatest tools to reach out to the lost, and when handled the way its supposed to by way of supporting the message carriers – in this context, the artiste, more lives will be transformed through the power of music.
He therefore admitted that the support for “Kingdom Business” by Churches is not disheartening, and he also confirmed the unwavering support of his church to his ministry.
Akesse adds his voice to the cry of many musicians, especially gospel duo, Trinity cross, who in a recent interview, called on churches to support the gospel sector.
The award winning gospel reggae singer urges well established churches in Ghana to emulate the action of Nigerian based gospel label, Love World Record , owned by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, CEO of Christ Embassy Church.
