Rap is not evil in Gospel Music, but a great ministry tool – Pastor Nana Yaw Boakye
Despite claims by many in and outside the Gospel scene as it being nonspiritual, Ghanaian contemporary gospel singer and songwriter, Pastor Nana Yaw Boakye, has refuted claims and negativity surrounding rap music as evil, calling on all not to shun gospel artistes who use the genre of music.
The artiste who recently rebranded to (MOG) said contrary to what people perceive rap music to be, it is one of the ways which musicians express themselves through songs.
Conveying the Gospel can be done in many ways. One can choose to express his thought, emotions and feeling which are connected to the Word of God through rap music and there is nothing wrong with that
Explaining further, MOG who is set to release his first rap single indicated that rap music is a strong section of music that can get listeners to act according to what the music says even outside the circular world.

I was a rapper before I became a singer which led me into spirit filled worship. So doing rap is like going back to my roots but his time for a greater purpose. There are a lot of things I seek to achieve but the basic one is to win souls for Christ.
I want Christians who love rap music to have something to fall on any time they want good rap music to listen to.
