The 24th edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards came off on Saturday, May 6th at the Conference Center “Grand Arena with some incredible surprises and big wins on the night.
Gospel singer and songwriter, Perez Musik won two awards on the night “Songwriter of the Year and Best Male Performance with his hit song Hewale Lala’
Others that received nominations in the category of Best Songwriter of the Year included Gospel Artiste of the Year Piesie Esther, Black Sherif, Diana Hamilton, Ewura Abena, and Fameye.
He dedicated the award to his late mother, God and His Team “ This is what God does when decides to do what He does! God bless everyone who streamed, prayed with and shared he added’ Speaking about the award he also said although he was confident of his work he also believes any other nominee in the category is also a winner.
For the Best Male Vocal Performance category, Perez Musik battled with Stonebwoy, King Promise, Camidoh, and Kyei Mensah. With his Hewale Lala song, Perez Musik bagged five nominations at the 24th edition of the music festival and made away with two awards.
