Nigerian gospel artiste and worship leader Nathaniel Bassey took to Twitter recently to admonish ladies who are yet to marry and waiting for their big day as well as women who are already married on some pertinent issues, most of which have to do with a woman’s worth.
Bassey told women that no man should make them feel they are doing them a favor by getting married to them, rather it is the other way round. He backed up his point by making reference to Proverbs 18:22.
The bible passage disclosed that: “The man who finds a wife finds a treasure and he receives favor from the Lord.” He shared this post via his Twitter handle @nathanielblow.
His post reads:
“My dear sisters, No man should make you feel they are doing you a favor marrying you. Actually, it is the other way round, as the bible says a Man finds FAVOR when He finds a wife. However, this shouldn’t make you arrogant. But rather carry yourself with grace and humility. The man who finds a wife finds a treasure, and he receives favor from the Lord.
