The controversial gospel musician Nicholas Omane Acheampong passionately expressed his concerns about the increasing live worship sessions on many radio station nowadays, which he said is killing creativity in the Gospel music industry.
Speaking on an Accra based radio station, Hitz Fm, the ‘Zaphenath Panea’ hit maker thinks that a lot of gospel artistes are following the trend in performing songs created by others, and not making an effort to create their own songs through inspiration from God.
He continue that if this line is towed, the industry will certainly lack ministers who are talented, creative and who produce spirit filled gospel music like the Daughters of Glorious Jesus, Yaw Sarpong, Tagoe Sisters and himself.
According to Omane Acheampong, he is not really convinced about artiste who start their ministration on stage with the ‘so called live worship session’ instead of ministering songs they are really known for.
He added strongly, however, he was not against the performance of worship songs, rather he encourages Gospel artistes to ask God for inspirations to write songs of their own.
