The Fountain of Life Church in Lagos, Nigeria has appointed Jimmy Odukoya as its new Senior Pastor. The announcement came during Sunday service by Pastor Rotimi Okpaise, who shared that late founder Taiwo Odukoya had nominated Jimmy as successor.
At just 30 years old, Jimmy Odukoya brings multifaceted talents to church leadership. He is an acclaimed Nollywood actor, starting his career in 2016 and earning an Africa Magic Viewers Choice Award nomination for his role in Netflix’s ‘Woman King.’ His other films include ‘Baby Shower,’ ‘Lifting the Veil,’ and ‘Oga Pastor.’
Beyond acting, Jimmy is a musician, motivational speaker, and fitness enthusiast. However, he considers his faith to be his driving purpose, having served as an associate Fountain of Life pastor for over 7 years.

In a 2021 interview, Jimmy explained that being a pastor does not limit him creatively, saying he sees no distinction between being a “Christian” actor versus simply an actor.
Jimmy holds a Master’s degree from Oral Roberts University. In 2013, he married his wife Oluwakemi in London. As the Odukoya’s first son, Jimmy brings important continuity after the passing of his father in 2021. However, as a millennial leader, he also represents a transition to the next generation for one of Africa’s most influential churches.
