ICGC joins Perez Chapel and Makers House Chapel to remain closed despite relaxation of restriction

The International Central Gospel Church, ICGC has announced that the church will remain closed despite the relaxation of restrictions of social gatherings by President Nana Addo.

The church has joined a number of other churches including Makers House Chapel, Perez Chapel International and others, insisting that their churches will remain closed.

In a communique, ICGC advised all pastors of the church to continue reaching out to members through Online and On-air platforms while the church uses the month of June to monitor and evaluate how the church will resume full worship service.

The church in the communique says;

“We are mindful of the need for the church to gather and worship freely and openly, however, the current situation demands that we also consider the health and safety of all congregants.”

It comes after the President announced the easing of Churches and final year students of the various levels of education.

The President of the republic Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo-Addo on the night of Sunday the 31st of May stated that church services must not exceed one hour and with strict adherence to the precautionary measures such as maintaining the 1-meter distance between congregants as well as the provision of means of handwashing.

All churches as a matter of prevention of a possible spread are to fumigate their premises thoroughly and also adhere to the wearing of nose masks for all congregants.
