Gospel singer Abena Ruthy to contest for the 2nd vice president slot of MUSIGA
Gospel songstress Abena Ruthy has declared her intentions of contesting for the position of second Vice Presidency slot of the upcoming executive election of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) scheduled for June 26.
She, however, stated that her intention for this position is based on her desire to serve on board, implementing strategic plans that will bring the real benefit of all members of the Union.
Also, she will help bridge that gap between Leadership and Members with my experience as President of women in Gospel music, having held the group together for 5yrs.
Abena Ruthy is the founder and executive director of Diamond Africa Foundation (DAF), a firm which is into advocacy for a better youth for Africa. They are involved in advocacy against defilement, ethics seminars for 2nd cycle schools, final year students, Women empowerment seminars.
She is also the CEO of Incredible Cleaning and Trading Services. This company is into home and facilities cleaning, the sale of cleaning detergents, fumigation, gardening, and laundry.
Aside from the two listed above, Abena Ruthy is the CEO Yacaph Micro Credit, a company which supports petty traders and SMEs, Churches, and individuals with short – term loans. She is also a consultant in Marketing, Business Development, and Financial Management, President of Women in Gospel Music and Vice President of Christian Music Association of Ghana (CMAG)
The “Aseda” singer has 14 years experience in Banking and Administrative work.
With regards to her educational background, Abena Ruthy has taken courses in Public Policy and Administration with Walden University, specializing in People Management and Leadership, MA Economic Policy Management, University of Ghana, Executive MBA Marketing option, University of Ghana, Legon, BA English with French, Legon
