The maiden edition of the National Gospel Music Award Scheme was held in December 2017 in Kumasi and witnessed many gospel musicians receiving appropriate recognition by way of deserving awards. The general purpose of the award scheme is to appreciate and honour all the players in the Ghanaian Gospel Music Industry.

Among those honoured on the night for their work, is the Gospel Reggae and Urban-Contemporary artiste Faffa  who picked up an award for Best Hip Hop Song Of The Year for her song ‘make me wanna’.

“Make Me Wanna” is a urban Gospel Jam with a touch of head nodding vibes coupled with compelling and appealing hip hop live instrumentation. The song was produced by Ghana’s renowned drummer JayZymera, who also featured on the song as the guest rapper.  The Song was recorded at Groove House Studio by one of Ghana finest drummers, Francis Osei.

‘Ewo Koe Nye Mawu’, a beautiful rendition of the popular ‘You are God alone -by William McDowel’ is the  latest single from Faffa. In this song, Faffa indeed proved her artistic skills to defy the challenges there is in bringing to bare the versatility required in her Urban Contemporary brand.
