Fortunately and through God’s Grace Donnie found a way of escape during his teen years. He got hooked onto playing musical instruments and singing.

He also recounted the moments of depression as a teenager, but according to the “There is God” singer , there is a hymnal that mostly jumps to him as he plays on the piano.

“Sweet hour of prayer
Sweet hour of prayer
That calls me from a world of care
And bids me at my Father’s throne
Make all my wants and wishes known
In seasons of distress and grief
My soul has often found relief
And oft escaped the tempter’s snare
By Thy return, sweet hour of prayer”

“Whenever depression would hit me, at a teenage, that was always my goto song”. Donnie Added.
