Daughters of Glorious Jesus launches 30 years anniversary with activity packed outline

Legendary Ghanaian gospel trio, the Daughters of Glorious Jesus who have been a tremendous blessing to the body of Christ with their music are set to celebrate 30 years in ministry anniversary this year.

At a Press Launch of the 30 years anniversary at Golden Tulip – Accra on Wednesday, May 1, the gospel group was full of thanksgiving to God and all who have supported and shared in their journey so far. In commemorating this milestone, they have clearly outlined laudable and fun-packed activities to characterize the anniversary.

As part of this anniversary, there will be the ‘Glorious30′ Gala on July 7, 2019. This is to launch the Daughters 3 Foundation on, a non-government organization that seeks to extend a helping hand to the less privileged in society. There will also be Daughters Europe tour in May and June, a US tour in June and July and then regional tours of which a concert will be held in Accra and Kumasi in November and December respectively.

The manager of the trio, Andy Favoured announced the Glorious 30 challenge. This is to engage as many fans as possible to record themselves singing any favorite Daughters’ song and posting on social media with the hashtag #glorious30. The winner(s) of this challenge stand the chance of dinning with Daughters as well as a live performance on stage with Daughters during some of their selected tours.

The Daughters tribute concert comes off in September. According to Andy Favored, on that, there would not be a performance from Daughters instead, the opportunity will be given to other ministers, friends from the media and any other person who wants to celebrate with DoGJ to do their unique renditions of their songs. There will also testimonies from people who want to share with others how DoGJ’s songs have impacted them.

The gospel group will also hold a symposium purposely to share their ministry experiences with others especially the up and coming musicians.

Daughters of Glorious Jesus have 12 albums to their credit. They are known for songs like ‘Yesu Mo’, ‘Odomfo’, ‘Bebree’, ‘Woso’, ‘Adedie’, ‘Abba Father’ and ‘Yesu Fata Ayeyi.’
