Called to Trust

Proverbs 3:5

Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.

There are many people nowadays who are depending on their educational qualifications and experiences to forge ahead in life. We are not called to be independent of God but rather we are called to be dependent on him.
As children of God our confident is in the name of the Lord.
The phrase…with all your heart,…shows clearly the likelihood of not depending on him totally. People trust him halfway because of the options they have.
NOTE: When you refuse to trust him with all your heart, you will surely end up growing lean in your understanding. Your credentials can’t save you.
We are called to trust him unwaveringly. In trusting God,we leave everything for him to handle but in having Faith we exercise ourselves to please him.
But the question is what are the benefits of trusting God?
Let’s journey through a couple of them below:
1) Trust in the Lord is the secret of safety ( Proverbs 29:25 The fear of man lays a snare, but whoever trusts in the LORD is safe.)

2) Happiness is granted ( Proverbs 16:20 Whoever gives thought to the word will discover good, and blessed is he who trusts in the LORD.)

3)  You shall be made fat ( Proverbs 28:25 He that is of a proud heart stirreth up strife: but he that putteth his trust in the LORD shall be made fat.)

To be made fat means to be prosperous,be enriched or to increase mightily in riches.
This are few benefits of trusting in God.
Trusting in the Lord never disappoints. It’s a sign of your godliness. We don’t pray to trust God,we are called to do. In my own words I say ” we are trust doers” not prayers. It’s part of our godly virtues. So you can’t say I can’t trust God when you are born again.
It’s now in our nature to trust him without giving up even in the midst of the heat.
Whether rain or shine,we are those who never give up our confidence because we know what the bible says in Hebrews 10:35 So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded.
Our trust in him has a reward and we are expecting it at the end of the age when he shows up. Hallelujah!!!
Finally,we are made partakers in Christ we don’t lose hope in him( Hebrews 3:14 For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;).

PRAYER
FATHER,I thank you for your godly character in me as your child.
I declare that I’m fully depending on your word no matter the challenges.
I thank you for your power to keep trusting in Jesus name.
Amen.
