Billboard Awards ’21: Maverick City Music, Elevation Worship & Kanye west among top winners

The Billboard Music Awards returned on Sunday evening for its 2021 edition with Hip Hop icon, Kanye West and contemporary worship collective, Elevation Worship, emerging top winners in the Gospel/Christian category.

Hosted by Nick Jonas, the BBMAs was broadcast live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles and aired on NBC.

Elevation Worship bagged two awards for ‘Top Christian Artist’ and ‘Top Christian Song of the Year’ while Kanye West won ‘Top Gospel Artist of the Year’ and ‘Top Gospel Song of the Year,’ for his single “Wash Us in The Blood” ft Travis Scott.

Worship Music Collective, Maverick City were not left out of the ceremony as their debut live album (Maverick City Vol. 3 Part 1) released independently on April 17 2020 bagged the ‘Top Gospel Album of the Year’ award.

Meanwhile, Carrie Underwood took home the award for ‘Top Christian Album,’ for her first gospel project “My Savior”. See List below;
