Restriction of Church Gatherings relaxed in Ghana with 100 Congregants at a time
Ghana has followed the lead of the US and other few nations in lifting the ban on social gatherings with restricted numbers which also include church meetings.
With effect from Sunday the 7th of June, 2020, all churches in the Accra Metropolis, the Greater Kumasi metropolis, and other few places in Ghana are to resume worship service with a total congregation count of 100.
The President of the republic, Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo-Addo, has also clearly stated that the services must not exceed one hour and with strict adherence to the precautionary measures such as maintaining the 1 meter distance between congregants as well as the provision of means of handwashing.
Congregants as a matter of prevention of a possible spread are all to be in nose masks.
