[Artiste Profile] Meet Minister Joe Qwaqu
Joshua Ofoeda is song writer, minister and recording artist. Known for his simplicity and dexterity, many have come to fall in love with the creativity in transforming old and indigenous tunes into master class music. His ability to blend the old indigenous Ghanaian gospel songs with the contemporary ones warms the hearts of his followers. Joe Qwaqu as he is popularly known on stage has become a fast-rising gospel singer with huge following.
Joe’s ministry is characterized by a crude demonstration of the power of God. Under his spirit filled ministrations, the power and glory of God descends mightily. Ecstatic congregations go agog, hosting auditoriums become too small for the occupants, gravity isn’t able anchor the stability of men, many end up grappling on the floor, and captives are set free under the power of the Holy Spirit.
Joe Qwaqu has headlined many gospel concerts and has had the opportunity to share platforms and minister with many mainstream gospel giants and it wouldn’t be far reached for him to be described as a gospel poster boy. Joe’s inspiration comes from consistent reading and meditation on the word of work.
His heavenly inspired debut single dubbed ALPHA AND OMEGA proclaims the greatness and eternity of God. This debut from the silk voice singer promises to move the spirit of men to the realization of the goodness of Jesus. It’s been long years of the goodness of the lord. The song marks the beginning of Minister Joe’s long journey into gospel record and mainstream music industry.
Joe is currently a lecturer at the IT department of the University of Professional Studies, Accra. Joe Qwaqu has been the music director of the God’s Endtime Militia Choir, an interdenominational community mass choir and a lead worshiper of the Sons of God Outreach, a ministry with the core mandate to rescue perishing souls in the Senior High Schools through music ministrations and the living word of God. He currently headlines one of the biggest Worship night events in the Krobo Area in the Eastern Region of Ghana dubbed as AS WE WORSHIP.
