Afro-Gospel Singer Limoblaze Grabs Two Nominations at 54th Annual GMA Dove Awards

Afro-gospel singer Limoblaze has received two major nominations at the upcoming 54th Annual GMA Dove Awards for his hit song “Jireh (My Provider)” and album “Sunday in Lagos.”

The Nigerian-born artist was nominated in the Rap/Hip-Hop Song of the Year and Rap/Hip-Hop Album of the Year categories by the Gospel Music Association (GMA) – a testament to his artistry and growing popularity.

Released in July 2022, “Jireh (My Provider)” is a collaboration between Limoblaze, Lecrae, and Happi. The inspirational track became an instant viral sensation across social media, garnering over 110,000 Instagram Reels and 70,000 TikTok creations.

Propelled by its online success, the song went on to chart on multiple Billboard charts including the US Afrobeats Song chart at #31, Hot Christian Songs at #41, and Gospel Songs at #15. It also landed on Spotify’s Top Viral 50 playlist for Nigeria.

Limoblaze’s nomination for Rap/Hip-Hop Album of the Year recognizes his latest project “Sunday in Lagos” which dropped in 2022. The album solidified the artist’s signature sound of blending Afrobeats, R&B, and gospel influences into his music.

Currently signed to Reach Records, Limoblaze is fast becoming a breakout star in the US gospel scene. The GMA Dove Awards nomination builds on his previous accolade – a Headies Award nod for Best Inspirational Single.

As he enjoys a career-defining year, Limoblaze continues to make his mark as one of the most promising voices in African gospel music today. His creativity, positive messaging, and impeccable talent make him a top contender at this year’s GMA Dove Awards.
