Christmas season is always characterized by good music and carols that relives the fun and beauty of the season. In the Christmas season also, many Gospel and Secular artiste release songs that could be carried into the next year as a form of anthem.
Well I will say, everyone with his or her taste for music, and hence everyone with what could best work for him or her as a Christmas anthem even with regards to Christmas carol covers.
In this article, I will walk you through or better still introduce you to 4 of the finest Christmas albums released in 2018, giving you something to put on replay in your homes or in your ears if you are on the go.

- MARANDA CURTIS – A HOLY CHRISTMAS (EP)
Maranda Curtis is the former worship leader at one of the most influential churches in the country: T.D. Jakes’ The Potter House. She leads worship in and outside of the traditional four walls of the church with her “Responsible Worship Clinics”, “Moments with Maranda” and personal mentoring and coaching of other singers and worship leaders. This Christmas project beautifully demonstrates the signature soulful approach to Gospel music that has made Maranda Curtis the artist that everyone has to hear.

2. CECE WINANS – SOMETHING’S HAPPENINING
Once again, Cece teams up with her son, Grammy and Dove award-winning producer Alvin Love III, to lay down 11 tracks for this project. The mother-son team walked away with two Grammy awards for their collaboration on, Let Them Fall in Love earlier this year.
“My desire is that when the world hears this project that they are reminded of the true reason and spirit of Christmas” said Winans in a press release, “When Jesus was born something AMAZING happened that changed the world forever. 3. HILLSONG – THE PEACE PROJECT (DELUX)
Hillsong Worship are not the only Christian artist to release a deluxe version of their Christmas album in 2018. Containing several reimagined and instrumental versions of nearly every track, they provide us with some interesting contemporary versions of Christmas classics and worship songs for the church. I particularly like their version of ‘Silent Night’ and ‘Oh Holy Night.

4. DEITRICK HADDON & ZAYTOVEN – GREATEST GIFT
Grammy award-winning producer Zaytoven has teamed up with Grammy award-winning singer/songwriter Deitrick Haddon for their Christmas EP entitled “Greatest Gift”. This album incorporates R and B, Gospel and most essentially Hip Hop to bring all Christmas music lovers together. Forget about all the traditional songs we grew up loving to sing.
